This is an independent artist collaboration that you'd never see happen from a traditional music publisher. Each artist who contributed to this project has done so with the goal of sharing their talent, sharing their music and hopefully finding new fans who will want to listen to and hopefully purchase more music from each of us.
As we were brainstorming how we could all collaborate and work together as artists, we came up with the idea of not just selling an amazing piano book.
We decided we would feature each artist in an email to everyone who orders a copy of the spiral bound book or digital book. We will be featuring AT LEAST TWO artists each week and in that email, the artist will be sharing something awesome with you. Some of us are planning to share a free song. Why This Collection is Special
This book project started as an idea to have independent artists collaborate and share their music. The cost of printing books continues to go up, making it nearly impossible for a piano artist to profitable print and sell a music book. If we all were willing to share a song in the book and then share the book with our fans, we could accomplish the goal of sharing, growing our fan base and mostly avoid the risk that would come with spending thousands of $'s to print a book.
Each artist would maintain all rights to their music without a publisher taking over ownership. The goal was to help each of us grow.
Jason emailed some of his friends and then posted on social media a invitation to submit songs for a book. The response was overwhelming, with nearly 50 piano hymns sent to him in the first week. Each artist puts their unique style to the piano hymns. Some pieces will become new favorites, others will stretch your hands in new ways, and all of them represent incredible talent that deserves to be heard. FAQs
Why only 1,500 copies of the first edition? We know the book is amazing, but we have self funded this project and it is possible we only print this book one time.
What Ability Level is this music written for? The songs in this book range from Intermediate to Advanced. About half of the songs are very playable by someone who can play hymns from a hymn book. There are some songs that are much more difficult but were selected because they were unique and will challenge many pianists. Some songs will stretch hands and require some creativity. We tried our best to have a variety of styles, but we know that not all flavors are for everyone.
Will there be a THIRD Volume created? Possibly... We had so many amazing submissions that we were not able to feature in these two books. We've already started a list of potential songs and artists to feature if we decided to do a third book. We may create a 3rd volume in the future, and if you would like to be considered for a future book, be sure to keep an eye out for emails that we send to everyone who orders this book. If you write music and would like to be considered for a future book, please reach out to [email protected].
Are there words or chords included in the music? On some songs... Some of the artists have included chords above their music and a few have included lyrics. These are written to be piano solos, and not sung to. You could sing to some of the songs, but they were not written to sing to. Depending on the artist and the song, you may find some chords, but other artists choose not to include either. If you are concerned about having chords or lyrics included, please keep this in mind when you purchase.
Can I Return the Book if I don't like it? No. Please understand that this book is a sampler book. The songs range from Intermediate to Advanced level. You will NOT like every song in the book. Know that nearly half of the songs will challenge advanced piano players. This is a self funded project by the artists, so we ask that you gift the book to someone else if you do not like the music in the book and help us share the music with others.
Will I Start Receiving SPAM Emails from all the Artists? Nope. As part of the project, the artists all agreed that any follow up and bonus emails we send out would be sent by one person, Jason Tonioli. You will start receiving emails from Jason that includes bonus content and links to music from the artists. we encourage you to engage with all of the artists, and there will be opportunities for you to register to receive additional content from the artists, but that is 100% up to you to register to be on their email lists.
How Long Will it Take to Receive My Spiral Bound Book? The books are scheduled to begin shipping at the beginning of mid October 2025. When orders are received, our warehouse team typically sends packages within 1-2 business days via USPS. Once your order ships, you will receive an email with a USPS tracking number. The post office typically delivers most of our packages within 5-14 days. As the holidays arrive, please understand that the post office will be slower due to high volumes, but in general they do a great job of delivering.
Is this really a first edition? Yes. This very well could be the only time we print this book. You won't find this book in most stores and we are not offering this on Amazon. (They take too high of a % to make this worth offering through Amazon.) Because all of the songs are owned by the participating artists, this is not something that a normal publisher would ever do.
When will I start Receiving My Bonus Content? We plan to start sending emails that include links to some of the bonus content within 2 days of purchase. Each of the artists is doing something different and the delivery will come over a 30 day period. Think of it like the 12 days of Christmas but spread over 30 days. We really hope you'll enjoy the extra free songs and bonus content. We hope you'll fall in love with all our music and that we'll all end up with a bigger fan list who will help support our music in the future.
